The Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC) in Selangor

 

Completed in June 2009, SACC is a convenient platform for annual graduation events, general gatherings, lectures, seminars, signing events and town hall meetings.

 

Datuk Zulkifli Mohamad, CEO at SACC, said that the convention centre strives to be the venue to serve all segments of the market, such as leisure, lifestyle and business, for young adults to senior citizens. 

 

With the unveiling of the new concept, the RM66 million convention centre has undergone a facelift: its Westside Bistro now has a new menu, monthly promotions, live events, The Tarik King Show and Magic show, as well as a place for motorcycle aficionados to mingle. 

 

A new niche service specifically for newlyweds will now be offered as a package which includes a banquet reception and registration of each couple’s marriage by the National Registration Department (JPN). The wedding concepts include a romantic lakeside date at the Tasik Shah Alam, an exciting helicopter ride and a cruise in an antique car or a fast superbike. Additionally, it also caters to children, as the convention centre is the official home of the popular local cartoon characters, Upin & Ipin. 

 

“It is our latest offering, as the SACC continually explores opportunities to reinvent our products, meet market demand and synchronise client needs with its signature offerings,” said Mr. Zulkifli.
